My story is based on things that are the most important in sportsman's world. My story is about winning and losing. You don't win or lose just in sports, you can win and lose in school, life etc. Is it true? In sports people remember just winners, not the losers!? When we win, we feel special and different than the others! I had experience in both situations. Sometimes when you win, you don't feel happy because you think it is not deserved. When you won the game, you start to think: how those losers feel? You know that, because you had the same experience. Someone can win in other things, not just in sports, at school or in life. In school you are a winner when you get an excellent or very good grade. In school you can also win if you can solve a problem with your own behavior and concentration. Than you feel like a real winner. Sometimes, defeat yourself, forced you to think: What and why did I do it? In life you can be a winner when you make a new friendship, when you get a job, or if you have fell in love. For me the most important thing is to have a normal, healthy family and great friends. If you have that, than you are the biggest winners of the world! But in all those things you can also lose! When you lose in sport it's not a big deal, but if you lose at school and in your life than you loose everything for what you should fight for. In school you can be a loser if you get a bad grade and than you feel unhappy, and that's not a feeling what we want to have. In life you can lose your family, friend and own life. That's the thing I don't like to talk, even think about. This story presents my thinking about Winners and Losers in my life. When I look at myself, I’m a huge winner and I want it to keep it in that way. The Boy from the story “The Giving Tree” is a real loser. He lost everything. He made a mistake but he didn't say that he was wrong. He probably thought it wasn't his fault. He didn't learn from his mistake when he commited it for the first time. The true winner is the Tree. She believed that she made the best she could for the Boy. She didn't fail even when she was only an old stump in the forest. She was perfect for sitting and resting but the Boy couldn’t understand it. The Tree gave much more than she took. It was a good story for all of us especially during Christmas time. I will remember the Tree as the patient, strong giver. I will try to live that way because I know I will be the winner. Life is giving. Juraj K |
