Dreams for peace Life in Southern Israel Peace & War

Schools in the shelters

Now, the children in the south aren't studying.
Only the high schools are studying, in the shelters.
We are disappointed, sad, and scared for the children in the south.
We think the children in the south of Israel and the children in Gaza aren't guilty, but despite this they suffer.
We heard that all the children want to study, because they miss their friends, and want to distract their minds with the school.
We are really sorry about the kids: in Gaza and in south of Israel.
We feel  very painful for all the kids that suffer. Inbar and Ofir

The life in the south of Israel

Eight years ago, the Hamas organization, which is a terror organization, started to shoot missiles toward the cities in the south of Israel.
Many missiles landed specially in the city Shderot.

The population there can't live a normal life because they are afraid that the missiles will hit them.

The children there can't play outside, can't concentrate at school.
They are suffering from nightmares and they are afraid to stay alone.

From the time they hear the alarm they have only 15 to 45 seconds until they find a safe place to hide.

This situation lasted many years and because of that the Israeli government decided to start the fighting in Gaza.

Since then the Hamas is shooting missiles 40 kilometer from Gaza and they hit also on Ashdod, Ashkelon and Beer-Sheva.

The children there don't go to school.
They stay only near a safe room or the shelter and they are very afraid because they don't know when the Hamas will shoot at them.

Because of that we need to find a way to make peace with them so that children in both regions could play outside, go to school and not have to suffer from nightmares.

War & peace

We don’t need war in the world. We need just peace and love.
I think the best life is to live with peace. You feel calm and happy. When you live with war you worry, feel sad and you are in stress.
We don’t have to suffer.   Idan B.
