The call from the North-Pole was one of my best experiences. It was so exciting! It was unforgettable, and I will remember it all my life. The quality was so good, and it was from the North-Pole! I think it enriched us very much. His answers were very interesting, I learned a lot! I think that Wave is a good person, and everybody needs to learn from him. He does everything to fulfill his dream. In spite of everything, he continues, until he does it. I was so excited to talk with him. He gives me some hopes to fulfill my dreams. I think it is impossible, but after I studied about him, and even talked with him, it seems to be possible!  I want to thank Marsha, because she gave me the opportunity to talk with Wave. It never could be without her! Thank you!  I want to thank Wave too, about the hope, and the call. I also thank the GSN.  Thank you very much!

Nitzan Grade 6

Nitzan .I.

Hello, our names are Michal G and Nofar P. We are students in the 6th grade in Ein-Ganim Elementary School, Petach-Tikva, Israel.

We want to tell everybody about our projects with Marsha Goren, our English teacher. We want to tell everybody about that because we think these projects are very important for us and for everybody else all over the globe and they can change the world too!

The goal of our project is to make the world better place to live in and if we will continue to believe and to work hard as we work usually we could accomplish our goal and even make our own peace, with children all over the world, because adults can’t do it themselves. We believe in the sentence that Wave Vidmar told us when we talked to us from the NorthPole: “Children can change the world”.

During the projects we met many children from many countries around the globe, we learned about their countries, their cultures and about theirselves a lot, and together, with them, we believe that some day there will be international peace.

When we talked to our new friends, they understood that Israel isn’t a bad, scary and dangerous place like some of them thought before they became our friends.

We Can Make Our Dreams Come True

Hello! I'm Roei from Israel, and I'd like to talk with you about an amazing and fun project. In my English class, my teacher Marsha Goren taught our class about a project about Wave Vidmar. Do you know who is he? He is a young man, he is 39 years old, and he is the first American to be all alone in the North Pole for two months. Isn't it amazing? In the project, we learned a lot about him, and about his exciting journey.

Wave is still there, because he hasn't finished his journey yet. What is he doing in this cold place? Most of you must think that he is doing this for money, but he is not. He is doing this for a much better reason: he is making his dream come true, and teaching us that we can make our dreams come true too!

Do you know that in the North Pole there are six months of day light in summer, and six months of day night in winter? Well, I didn’t know that before I joined this project. I have learned so many new things.

You can also learn about him! You can see our class on the GSN http://www.gsn.org http://northpolesoloexpedition.com/index.html

website too, and there you'll find information about him… And in case you want to visit our project:

Our website address is: http://www.globaldreamers.org

Don’t forget to visit it!

Yours,
Roei from Israel.

Hi! My name is Dana and I’m almost 12 years old.

I study at Ein Ganim School, Petah Tikva, Israel, and I’m in the 6th grade. My English teacher is Marsha Goren.

Our class was a part of this beautiful project! I was very glad to participate in such an interesting project about an unusual thing: a trip to the North Pole.

I learned many new things. I learned interesting facts about the North Pole and about Wave Vidmars’ life there but also about Waves’ regular life, hobbies and more.

I think the project donated a lot of knowledge to the ones who participated in a different way, a special way.

By this project we enjoyed learning! We learned English by doing things we like, thing we are interested in.

We wrote and spoke a lot of English during the project and that’s how we learned more and more.

There were very fun things to do! Pictures that you have to describe in a funny way, questions about ourselves and more…

The lessons became more interesting and we wanted to enter the site and write, and learn… This was a very good project and I hope there will be other projects like that!

This project also gave us an example from the real life about fulfilling dreams. It showed us that if you really want something, and you fight and work hard for it, you’ll finally reach it.

This project taught us not to give up our dreams.

I don’t remember where I heard it and who said that, but I think it’s a very correct sentence:

‘People dream only about things they can reach’!

Thank you for creating and letting us participate in this magnificent project,

Sincerely yours,
Dana
