Yakov Krieger
Q.
What can you tell about yourself from the past?
A.
I was a man of the "Hagana" I fought in many battles, One time
I became ill. In my time there wasn't technology like today.
Q. How was the agronomy?
A. The agronomy
was very different; we grew oranges and grapefruits. That was our
livelihood. We had places to sell the oranges like the market and
get money. This is how we lived and survived.
Q. What do
you want there to be for the community?
A. I think children
need to help the old people more, to open new clubs and things
like that for younger people.
Maybe they will open a university. I think that they need to upgrade the
agronomy and to think about ideas for our city.
Q. In your opinion which technology has advanced
the most?
A. The refridgeration, many years ago there
were blocks of ice. There was no fridge, everyday we bought blocks
of ice.
Q. Is that hard to be old in our city?
A.
Yes, it's hard to be old in our city but there's a
preference, everyone respects you and things like that.
I go to the swimming pool on a bus and to the market
but I am used to this.
Q. What do you hope for Petach-Tikva?
A. I hope for more many good years and that the technology
will grow and advance for the future generation in our world.
Thank you grandpa!
