Marsha Goren had the privilege and the honor to be the translator at the Petach Tikva Municipality. The honorable mayor of Chicago Mr. Richard Daley and his wife Maggie were the distinguised guests. There were also visitors from the Jewish federation and employess from the Chicago city hall. It was indeed a special day. Marsha told Mrs. Daley and Kate Heilman who is the senior manager of operations in the Chicago sister cities about her work with Janet Barnstable of Oak Park. The mayor's wife was extremely interested and asked Kate to contact Danya Chazan who helps organize educational programs with schools in Chicago.

While there were many photo opportunities (which you can see below) Marsha WAS there for the purpose of translating for the two Mayors. In this photo to the left and the two above, you can see her at work.
