Grandma Dorothy's Rice Pudding Recipe
4 cups of whole milk
1/2 cup of white rice
1/2 cup of sugar
1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 egg
Slowly hear milk on low heat.
Dissolve sugar in warm milk
Add rice and vanilla extract
Cook on low heat until rice is tender, stirring frequently
Remove 1 cup of the mixture and wish in egg
Replace egg/rice mixture into rice and stir well
Cook on low heat until thick
Transfer to bowl and cool
May also be eaten warm.
