The Worst

Hi my name is Shorty. I can’t imagine the horrible things just one man alone can do. I have studied the Holocaust; in fact I went to the museum in Washington D.C. about it. The thing I saw, heard I really couldn’t take. Here is a poem of just how awful I think it is:
Waiting
You’re standing in line waiting for your turn,
You know you’ll be tortured but you can not run,
You’re on your knees praying, begging your children didn’t go,
But in your heart you know that they will never show.

The Holocaust

Just hearing the word Holocaust makes me cringe. During the time of the Holocaust six million Jews died because a powerful man named Adolf Hitler took over. This horrible event makes me think of the time when African Americans were discriminated against by white people. There have been many terrible events that have taken place all over the world. Now that it is over we should all try to keep it out of this world for as long as we citizens can.

What is the holocaust, someone may ask. Well the holocaust is an unforgettable time in Germany. The time Jews ran and hid and some were taken to concentration camps. It was there they were tattooed and had to wear the Star of David. Hitler, their leader, mistreated them and killed most. Some Jews got away alive but most were not so lucky.

I think that the holocaust is an event that will never be forgotten. With and evil man in command, the Nazis destroyed a nation and tried to eliminate the Jews in order to create his own race. I think that difference is what makes a country interesting, not just one type of race.

The Holocaust was a terrible event that affected many lives most being Jews around the world. Not only were the Jews stripped of everything they had but they were tortured, humiliated, and even killed. But they kept on going with their heads held high. And most importantly we need to be more careful so that somebody like Hitler won’t come into power ever again.
