Voices

Every little event,
Heartbreaking, tear-causing,
Never noticed to the world,
Is the beginning of your own pet genocide.

You imagine,
The world is screaming:
Never again!
Never again!

In reality,
Are we not screaming…
Forget, and
Do it again?

Are those not the words,
That you cry out subconsciously,
As you put down another,
And continuously “better” yourself?

For isn’t that why?
You’re feeling inferior,
Needing someone to be lower…
Is that not the cause?

Would you stop, for once,
And listen for a moment?
Avoid putting someone down,
And change the voices of the world.

Shouldn’t we truly,
Be screaming:
Never again…
Never again?

For we do not need our own personal genocides,
Our petty hatred of others,
We can stop it all,
If we listen for a moment…

Be the first,
To in reality voice:
Never again!
And to mean it.
