This Train Revised Train Reaction By: The Indigo Girls By: Carlyle S. The story and song I am writing about is not my own. The song "This Train Revised" sung by the Indigo Girls, and the times of our world. Be prepared because this summarization is completely true. Every train ride to the concentration camps was torturous to even think about. "David's Star" was the symbol of hope and resistance to the Jews. What little they had to remember themselves by! The only true way to sever their mind s from this dead -end train. "Bodies were stacked like wood and thrown aside as though they were trash. They felt broken, like there was no reason to live anymore. Thoughts were that the whole world was against them and their existence. Their own minds said that they were nothing but corpses, barely carrying on. Like a monkey being shocked from behind. , they were tortured not only physically but mentally too. Everyone around them was dying inside out, not only strangers, but their friends, family, and even themselves! The Jews were the ones who hurt the most. What could have become of them if they were never hurt like this? Dreams held high by hope and emotions, what would happen? They could've done so many things for the world. Now their shattered dreams passed by as though they were nothing but a breath of wind All these emotions they felt everyday was like this summarization. Sad, tortured , faces every where they looked. You can barely imagine how some managed to survive in that time. Now you know one torture ride, the bodies, the broken dreams, and the train ride no one will ever forget. |
