This Train Revised

Do you have a favorite song? Well most of us do, but have you ever heard the song "This Train Revised" by the Indigo Girls? It's a sad song about the Jews and the long train ride to Auschwitz.

Just think about all those people, mostly Jews who had many broken dreams. Some of the kids could have been the next Albert Einstein, or Arnold Schwarzenegger. We could have doctors that could cure cancers and the Lou Gerhrig's disease.

Can you imagine riding on a train during the summer that only has holes in the top so the riders wouldn't get a cross breeze? Most of the people died just on the way to Germany. They were packed up so tightly there was literally no room to move.

Have you ever wondered what its like to be HATED by a certain group and race of people? Well the Jews, homosexuals, and gypsies do. The Nazis were prejudice against them. They treated animals better than they treated people at concentration camps. They made the Jews work long, hard hours for small amount s of food, water, and stale bread.

So in conclusion, think about all the people that were killed, tortured, and abused. Be thankful of all the things you have, and remember how those peoples dreams were crushed and lives were ruined.
