This Train Revised My reaction to ''This Train Revised'' made me think about how horrible the Jews were mistreated. This song told about all the dreadful ways the Jews suffered and how they endured all the pain on their long journey to their fate at the concentration camps on the trains. When I heard this song it made me realize of what could have been of all the Jews who died for no reason. One of them could have found the cure for cancer, AIDS, or even any other major disease. Sometimes I wonder about how the Jews felt while riding the train. Scared? Confused? Hurt? Most likely, all of the above. Not knowing their fate was probably the worst feeling of all. Prejudice was shown against all Jews. Just because Judaism was their choice of religion Hitler hated them. Because Hitler was in power, many non-Jews looked up to him. When Hitler started hating them, people followed and made it their mission to kill all Jews, They were Nazis. Can you imagine people hating you and wanting to kill you just because of your religion? In this song there were some very symbolic events that caught my attention. When they said, ''Do you shock the monkeys?'' told about the experiments they preformed on the Jews. Another one when they talked about the dancer with no legs and a teacher with no face tell about what could have been of the Jews. I'm very thankful that we were able to listen to this song. I've learned a little more about the holocaust and about the horrific journey the Jews had to endure on the train. BY: Alexis C. |
