The Holocaust was a terrible misfortune of history. It is an event that tells of great grief, sadness, torture, and loss. However, you can learn from others’ mistakes. What we can learn from the Holocaust is to not judge by race, color, gender, religion, and many other categories, even if you feel wrong, “Two wrongs don’t make a right.” We can learn about and apply the Holocaust’s lesson to our everyday classrooms in being careful about what we do and what we say. For instance, sticking up for someone who is being bullied because of what they wear or what they say is not right. Another way is to not laugh at someone because they’re different from you. Sometimes we have to accept that there are better people out there than you. If everyone accepted this, our world might be a better place than it was before. That is how we can apply the lessons of the Holocaust. The Holocaust was the persecution and killing of millions of Jews by the Nazis during World War I. This was very wrong and should never have happened. People shouldn’t kill someone because they are a different religion. We should all treat each other equally and respect each other even if we look different or have a different religion. Everyone should be treated fairly and this type of suffering should never happen again. The Holocaust can teach us a lot of lessons. Take how the Nazis treated people for example. How the Nazis treated people was unfair. We are all equal. Just because somebody practices a different religion, is a different color, speaks differently, or looks different doesn’t mean that they’re bad people, or aren’t as equal as you. Truthfully, everyone is different. No religion is the, “right” religion. There’s no, “right” way to look, or speak, or think. The Nazis though that the way Jews did things were the, “wrong” way to do things. The Nazis thought that everyone who opposed their ideas or did something differently weren’t as important, and should be gotten rid of. They laughed when they saw the, “wrong” kind of people suffering, and grew mad when the, “wrong” kind of people were laughing and enjoying themselves. What the Nazis did was horrible, and they prosecuted not just the Jews, but others too, because they disliked them. We all have to know that being different is okay and that if somebody’s being treated unfairly we should stand up for what we believe in and do what’s right. The Holocaust was a horrible event that we can all learn from. The Holocaust was a terrible event. It was cruel and unfair. Though people may say life is unfair, nobody deserves such evil treatment. The people who say life is unfair know that in their heart, they wouldn’t want to be treated like that. We can definitely learn from this. The Holocaust is an example and a reminder of what happens when we judge people for their looks, accents, or skin color. We should include everyone in everything that we do. Everyone is special, whether they have a disorder, an obscure religion, or an out-of-style fashion. The Jews in the Holocaust were judged by their religion and they didn’t fit the stereo-type. Nobody should be racist towards others. Being respectful to everyone is another important lesson. There is no one in the world exactly like you. Everybody looks and thinks differently. We should celebrate the differences and not make fun of it. We need to respect, love, care, and accept others. The world will stay unfair unless we make an effort to change it. |
