Dan Harkabi recently visited the Holocaust Museum in Washington. He then visited Marsha's 6th grade students and explained the work in the unit. He said the Holocaust Museum was the most important day of his life. He brought two paragrapsh from Albert
Einsteins' Mein Weltbild, Amsterdam: Qerido Verlag 1934 pg. 133 It speaks of the struggles of the time of the Nazis, Jewish people had to deal with mentioning the needs for justice, independence and asking questions. He said that even with all the hardships we had to face against the Nazis, he felt being Jewish was a gift and to use the potential in the highest way. First he explained how we will fulfill our dreams by hard work and determination and with all our difficulties contribute to a better human being and society in a world with limitless knowledge and motivation. The children showed him our 2007 Remembrance unit for the Holocaust day. |
