My name is Naama.

I live in Israel and I want to tell you about the Holocaust.

Holocaust Remembrance is a special day for Israel. This is the day that we all know and never forget the things that the Germans did to our people.

On this day I fill very sad because my grandfather was in the ghetto. The ghetto is a very bad place! The Germans killed poeple there with gas and guns. My grandfather ran away! This was lucky but he died because of lukemia. I didn't know my grandfather but my mom said that he was a very special man...

The Holocaust make us all remember and never forgat! I know that when I'm bigger I will tell my kids the story of the Holocaust. In the ghetto the kids and the parents went to working places and to a shower that the shower where there was - gas.

The Germans put the poeple in the trains and brought them in a ghetto. In the ghetto poeple died because thay had to work all day long and they almost didn't eat! Or drink.

But in the ghetto the kids were not sad all day. They had been waiting for their parents, played games, met new friends! But most of all thay knew that they were gona die! The kids were 12 or 14 years old! The Germans took the kids away from their parents! Most of the kids that survived lived alone in the world without parents or family! My grandfather watched his family die with guns. The Jews wore a yellow badge on their shirts to tell all the Germans that they are Jewish! This is really not nice to put a tag on someone just to humiliate him!

A lot of poeple killed themselves because they didn't want to die from guns or gas.

This year my class in Ein - Ganim school did the Holocaust ceremony. All the teachers said that it was very sad and pretty.

I am really think that the world need to know more about the Holocaust because some the poeple that were in the ghetto and survived will be gone! And then the poeple that didn't know a lot about this will forget and then the world will not know! I think that what that we are doing in this project. We give the world knowledge about this special day.

These are my feelings about this day. I will be glad to know more about this day, to know more about the poeple, the day in their life! But this is for now.
