SNIPERS

The British journalist, Sydney Mosley, says in his book: ‘The Turkish soldiers became so sacrificed and intimate that we had to make a special team.’

‘… There was a sniper in a hole near our headquarters. He was killing our soldiers one by one. The sniper had been there for a long time. Because he had lots of food and supplies for himself and also for his friends who may come.

… There was an interesting story about the end of the battle.

A team of Australian soldiers had to explore the holes of Turkish snipers who killed our so many officers and sergeants. But they couldn’t find any. Sniper was continuing his job.

One day an Australian found a bush covered door of a shelter. There was the Turkish sniper. He had only a few cartridges.’

A captain from Royal Medical Cure says: ‘He was killing some of our soldiers who are bringing water. But the medical soldiers were never shot. They gave the mission to find this guy to a doctor. The Turkish sniper understood that we were searching for him. He shot once and the doctor got wounded. When he realized that he was a doctor, he didn’t shoot again.
