… There was an interesting story about the end of the battle. A team of Australian soldiers had to explore the holes of Turkish snipers who killed our so many officers and sergeants. But they couldn’t find any. Sniper was continuing his job. One day an Australian found a bush covered door of a shelter. There was the Turkish sniper. He had only a few cartridges.’ A captain from Royal Medical Cure says: ‘He was killing some of our soldiers who are bringing water. But the medical soldiers were never shot. They gave the mission to find this guy to a doctor. The Turkish sniper understood that we were searching for him. He shot once and the doctor got wounded.
