 Dear friends,The holiday is called Rosh Hashanah (the head of the year), at Rosh Hashanah we eat apple with honey to have a sweet year, head of fish to be head and not tail – first but not last, we eat seeds of pomegranate so that our rights will be as many as the seeds of pomegranate. We have lots of holidays like: Day of Atonement, Sukkoth, Chanukah, Purim, Passover, Lag Ba’omer, Independence Day, Shavuot and the summer holiday! They are important because of four reasons: 1. This is important to the religious people 2. To have a good time with my family 3. To celebrate and maintain the commandments of the holiday 4. It gives us a break from school We do not live in the dangerous part in Israel. We live at the center of
Israel where the rockets can’t reach us. I have family: a Mom, a Dad, a brother, a sister, a cat and two turtles (but
