In our collaborative learning projects, we have one called (Dream a dream with Ein Ganim). This project based on dream a dream for promoting world peace and understanding between the children in from different cultures. Foods are familiar to children every day but foods in different cultures they might have different backgrounds. The foods could reflect each country’s history and their current social psychology. Some special foods might have background stories that could encourage their people to live in peace and without any sorrows.Purim Food – Haman’s Ears,this lesson plan was designed by israeli teacher, Marsha Goren. The director of Dream a dream with Ein Ganim.She said that Jews have a lot of holidays in a year. Purim Food is the children’s most favorite one. This lesson plan is wonderful for Chinese children to learn Israeli Culture. Through the Purim Food collaborative research, A Chinese teacher Pauline who is in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province in China has designed a similar lesson plan on Chinese common breakfast food: Youtiao (fried dough sticks).
