| July 4, 1776 is the "official" day when Independence was declared from England. The 'colonies' no longer recognized the rule of the King and set up their own government. On July 4th every year there are many parades. These are usually also times when politicians get out into the crowds and shake hands, kiss babies, and give speaches. But what everyone looks forward to is the evening, and the great fireworks displays. We hope you enjoy them too! |
