te@ch Program Awards $2,500 to Schools Creatively Integrating Technology into the Curriculum

The Best Buy Children’s Foundation has awarded a $2,500 te@ch grant to Percy Julian Middle School. Teacher, Janet Barnstable applied for the Best Buy te@ch grant after learning about it through communications from parent, Robert Streit. The funds received by Percy Julian Middle School will be used to support Janet's Virtual Classroom. Other classes may also be able to share the cameras being purchased.

te@ch awards recognize and reward schools that make learning fun by integrating interactive technology into the K-12 curriculum. This program, launched in October 2003, awards $2,500 to selected schools from across the United States. Schools use their te@ch awards to extend, expand or enhance their interactive, technology-based programs. te@ch is available to accredited public and private nonprofit elementary, middle and secondary schools located within 25 miles of a Best Buy store.
