This year Israel is celebrating 60 years of Independence that came after thousands of years of living in the Diaspora and war for our Independence and for our county. Israel got Independence in 1948 on the fifth day of the Jewish month of Iyar (from the end of April till the middle of May). For us Israel is not just the place we live in, it is a place that symbols life, hope, wishes, peace and love. We wish our hope will never fade.

Our little country- Israel is going to be 60 years old.
Everyone in Israel is so excited about that.
We all wait for this huge moment.

On the day of the celebration there are: concerts of a lot of famous singers, a fireworks show, cotton candy, corn and a lot of pizza. Special citizens light torches on "Hertzel Mountain."
Shahar 6th grade

Israel is almost 60 years old so we are celebrating her birthday on May 8th.
At this we have fire works, shows singers and we have barbeque.
On the next day, we have big shows at the parks of the Kids Channel and the Nickelodeon Channel.
In our school we do a lot of work in honor of this special holiday and we are talking abut this holiday.
