We have a lot of activities after school open for all grades. Our activities include our Newspaper which comes out only four times a year. A lot of work goes into making it. Other activities are sports like volleyball, basketball, cross-crountry and more. We also have clubs like Spanish Club where we learn to speak spanish and make different types of art like they do in Mexico.
There are very fun things to do during school like band. Band is a group of kids who play different instruments like the trumpet, saxophone, trombone, flute, clarinet, oboe and more. There is orchestra which is the same thing as band but has string instruments like the violin and the cello. We also have CMT which stands for Career Modular Technology. During CMT we learn all of the jobs that are available to us when we are adults and we learn what we do in the specific job. We also have Virtual Classroom which is what we are in now. It is a time we use to communicate to other countries with kids around our ages and do projects and learn about other countries and more. There are many thing to do after, before and during school. Our school if filled with amazing teachers, great education and a lot of fun. Percy Julian Middle School is the school to go to. Our Schoo is a fun and exciting place to be.
We have 9 periods a day that are evenly spread out, and every Tuesday and Thursday we have an extra advisory period. There are 4 floors in the building. One 8th and one 7th grade team and one split 7/8 grade team are on the fourth floor, and one of each grade on the third floor and the sixth graders are on the second floor. The first floor is mainly the gym and the lunch room with a few other class rooms. The lunch periods are with seventh and eighth graders mixed. There are three "teams" in both seventh and eighth grades. There are two lunch periods for the seventh and eighth graders to each lunch, which splits them up. One lunch period has one eighth and seventh grade team in it and the other has two of each, seventh and eighth grades. The sixth graders have their own lunch time.
