In Hebrew, this day named “Remembrance day for Israel's
military campaigns” this day symbolizes the people that sacrificed
themselves to our country’s existence. Many people make a mistake
and think that this day is for IDF (Israel Defense Forces). But before
our country and the IDF came into being, there were many people who
sacrificed themself for our country’s existence. They built underground
organizations and fought the nations that controlled here.
These people built this country !
This is one of the reasons that the
Independence Day is the day after Remembrance Day. Because they built
the country, and we have to remember that someone built it, and did
it out of love for Israel, and we have to thank them before we are happy
about our country.

Remembrance Day at Ein Ganim
Today our school had a special ceremony
to remember the fourteen soldiers who were students at our school and
died while serving in the army. The parents and families of those who
lost their loved ones join us and it is a very hard and sad day for everyone.
There
is a special section with a display.

Children's writings
in memory of those who are no longer with us.

We remember and write about those who left us and are no longer
here.

The heroes who have fallen that we will never forget.

It was very hot. A two minute siren left everyone standing together
remembering those who helped Israel to become the nation it is today.
