Our school has a reading incentive program called SOAR. It stands
for Super Outstanding Awesome Readers. It has been going on for
more than seven years. Kindergartners through 3rd graders must
read 800 minutes to win a prize. Fourth and Fifth graders need
to read 1600 minutes to earn their SOAR party… that’s what
reminds us of the Springtime at Washington School.
The SOAR party is an incredible time where we get to have a dance in
the gym. There are Disc Jockeys, strobe lights, and lots of snacks
and drinks. We have dance contests and BOOGIE down!!!
