Billy Goats Tavern

Traditionally the journalists in the City have eaten at Billy Goats "forever". It's on lower Michigan Avenue. That means that it's on the street the way it used to be before the City was raised up and a new level built above. That's why you see all the street lights on -- even though it's the middle of the afternoon.

The food is simple; hamburgers, cheeseburgers.... no fries. Ever watch Saturday Night live long ago? Remember the cheeseburger, cheeseburger skit? That was Billy Goats!

The City is magnificent. If you ever go there, do take the boat and river tour. You'll see the entire City in an hour an a half and enjoy the ride. We also walked for miles and miles (well, it seemed that way) and still never did make it to the park where the last day of Taste of Chicago was going on. We'll have to save viewing "the Bean" for another time.
